I’m Spenser Heaps (he/him), an editorial and commercial photographer based in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Over the last 15 years I have used my training as a photojournalist and documentary photographer to create compelling, storytelling images for publications and brands in the Western U.S. and beyond. My photographic practice is driven by my love for exploration and a belief that there is no substitute for actually being there.

I’ve worked on assignment on five continents (someone please send me to Australia or Antarctica!) and am experienced in managing complex travel, logistics, and location challenges for both editorial and commercial projects.

In addition to still photography, I offer FAA licensed and insured drone photography and video services for commercial, industrial, and editorial clients across Utah and the Mountain West.

If you're looking for a Salt Lake City-based photographer with a background in editorial storytelling and commercial brand work, let's connect.
