PROJECT BRIEF
I was commissioned to photograph Utah distance runner Riley Cook for Tracksmith Journal, a publication by New England-based running brand Tracksmith. The story follows Riley’s relentless pursuit of an Olympic Trials Qualifier over 14 years and 27 marathons, culminating in his breakthrough performance at the 2022 California International Marathon.

I captured Riley training on the roads and trails near Ogden, Utah, as well as candid lifestyle portraits that reflect his identity as a father, athlete, and dedicated member of the local running community.
